Crash Twinsanity (GioPixelGH)
GioPixelGH/Crash-Twinsanity-Windows
A native Windows port of the PAL PlayStation 2 version, with no emulator. It is a Windows adaptation of HAB3X’s Mac port, which runs Smartkin’s complete C++ decompilation on a native platform layer (SDL3, an OpenGL renderer for the PS2’s graphics, sound, movies, saves, and a new options screen); this repository adds what Windows needs, makes it run at a steady 60 fps, and fixes the crashes found by playing it. It has been played by hand from the start to the credits, and all 131 areas were tried with scripted input for 30 seconds each with no unexpected crash. On Linux it builds and plays on x86-64 (tried on Debian 13), but there is no download, and macOS is untested. Version 1.0.19 is from October 26. 67 of its 76 commits list Claude as a co-author, and the README declares the port was written with its help.
You needYour own disc image of the PAL release (Europe and Australia, SLES-52568) as an .iso (or .bin/.img). 64-bit Windows 10 or 11, a graphics card with OpenGL 3.3, and a keyboard and mouse or a gamepad.
Crash Twinsanity (menaman123)
menaman123/TwinsanityEvolved
A native port of Crash Twinsanity for Windows, macOS, Linux, and PS Vita: the twinsanity-reversed decompilation (by Smartkin), in the game/ folder, running on the NativeEE engine in the engine/ folder. The game is compiled to wasm32 and lowered to C with wasm2c, with its linear memory as the engine’s 32 MB main memory. A launcher installs the finished game from the releases into a single folder holding the settings, memory cards, and mods; it supports mods packaged as Mod Crates, patched disc images, and xdelta, PPF, and BPS patches, text and speech are separate settings, and the text can be read in Arabic. It runs at 60 frames per second by default, or at 50 Hz like the PAL console. Version 0.9.1 (October 30) lets you skip the game’s cutscenes with X. Every release zip passes a scan (tools/ci/asset_scan.py) that fails on any disc file.
You needYour own Crash Twinsanity .iso image for PS2: the European (PAL, SLES-52568) or US (SLUS-20909 v2.00) disc; the program recognizes the disc by its content, comparing it against the known dumps of the original discs. 64-bit Windows 10 or 11, macOS (Apple Silicon or Intel), Linux (x86-64 or aarch64), or PS Vita.
