Parasite Eve (khasinski)
Game: Parasite Eve → (PS1, 1998)
A native PC port built from the game’s original code through the project’s own fork of PsyZ, that is, on top of its decompilation. It is an early alpha, with builds for Apple Silicon macOS, Linux (x86-64 and arm64), and Windows (marked experimental). On launch you choose your disc images; if you give both discs it switches between them automatically. The Escape menu adjusts graphics (geometry correction, anti-aliasing, model texture filtering, and a widescreen option that shows more background where available), controls, audio, and mods, and there is an optional interpolated 60 Hz mode, a speed button, and a mod host with optional item and equipment features. An optional pack of HD backgrounds, about 327 MB, is downloaded from inside the game from a server outside GitHub. There is also a save editor and a separate tool for experimenting with room lighting. Version 0.9-alpha is from October 31.
You needYour own North American CUE/BIN images of both discs (each CUE next to its BIN); no game data is included. macOS 15 or later on Apple Silicon, Linux, or 64-bit Windows (experimental).
