Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories (PS2)
Game: Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories → (PSP, 2006)
A native Windows and Linux port of the PS2 version (USA, SLUS-21590), made by recompiling the PS2 executable into C++ with PS2Recomp, which the project vendors with its own changes. It builds from the same source with Direct3D 11 on Windows and Vulkan on Linux. The repository contains no game code or data: the build reads the executable from your ISO and the finished game reads everything else from it. A Windows launcher walks through four steps (folder, disc, Microsoft build tools, and build, 20 to 60 minutes the first time) and manages save backups. Its progress document marks it as in development: the game loop runs and the intro scene renders, with a hardware graphics backend that shows the loading screen, and movies are skipped for now. Launcher version 0.1.0 is from November 1. All of its last 100 commits list Claude as a co-author.
You needYour own Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories PS2 ISO (USA, SLUS-21590). On Windows, Microsoft’s C++ tools (about 6 GB; the launcher installs them) and 20 to 60 minutes for the first build; a Linux build is also available.
