Dragon Ball GT: Final Bout (novapowers0)

novapowers0/DB-Final-Bout-Recomp

A static recompilation of the US release (SLUS-00493) for Windows, built with PSXRecomp and recomp-ui: the original MIPS code is compiled into native code in a standalone executable with a launcher, mods, and rendering settings. It has 16:9 or adaptive widescreen, which for now only stretches the picture; a software renderer as the reference and experimental Vulkan; a PGXP variant for more geometric precision; and netplay over LAN or direct IP, built in but not fully tested. Version 0.2.0 added two optional mods: “Combate renovado” (renewed combat), which adds input assistance, aerial follow-ups, and changes to movement, defense, hit-stop, and ki, with a slightly wider camera; and one that unlocks all 17 fighters. The latest, 0.2.1 (October 19), is an experimental pre-release that fixes a blocking wait, though intermittent exits in the original mode remain with no known cause; the latest stable release is 0.1.1, from September 26. Since 0.2.0 the download is ready to play: you only pick your disc. Its documentation includes reports from work sessions carried out by Claude.

You needYour own US copy of Dragon Ball GT: Final Bout for PS1 (SLUS-00493), with the data track as a .bin and its .cue; baserom.md lists its size and its MD5 and SHA-1 checksums. Plus 64-bit Windows.

Dragon Ball GT: Final Bout (mstan)

mstan/DragonBallGTFinalBoutRecomp

A static recompilation of Dragon Ball GT: Final Bout (US version, SLUS-00493) for Windows with psxrecomp. It has adaptive widescreen up to 21:9, with a repositioned HUD and expanded stage backgrounds; higher internal resolution; save states; and two-player netplay, through online lobbies (which may ask you to sign in with Discord) or over LAN or direct IP, plus local versus. The optional “FuniDub” mod replaces the original voices with the English recordings from Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3, extracted on your machine from your own ISO of that game, with no audio downloaded or distributed; it covers 386 of 389 selected voice cues (introductions, combat sounds, attack calls, and victory lines), it isn’t a word-for-word translation, and mouth animation doesn’t always match. 1.0.0 (October 15) is the first release: testing has focused on combat, widescreen, audio, and multiplayer, and some scenes, effects, and progression routes remain untested. Its documentation states it was developed with GPT-6.1 Sol AI subagents.

You needYour own Dragon Ball GT: Final Bout disc image (PS1, US version, SLUS-00493) as CUE + BIN. For the FuniDub mod, also your US Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 ISO for PS2 (SLUS-21678). No console BIOS or compiler install is needed. 64-bit Windows. For netplay, both players need the same release and the same disc.
