Hybrid Heaven
3 recomps and 1 decompilation
Hybrid Heaven (ogdanimal)
ogdanimal/HybridHeaven-Recomp
A native port of Hybrid Heaven for Windows, Linux, and Android, by static recompilation with N64Recomp, N64ModernRuntime, and RT64, on the same stack as Goemon 64: Recompiled, from which it takes the launcher, menus, and input layer. It builds on its own decompilation, also in this catalog. It adds widescreen, higher internal resolutions, MSAA, V-Sync and frame-rate options, a free analog camera on the right stick, optional autosave through the game’s own save routine, save import, a mods menu, and, on Android, touch controls and a GPU driver switcher. The ROM is verified and copied once; nothing has to be decompressed or converted. Version 1.0 came out on October 4. All 7 of its commits list Claude as a co-author.
You needYour own US Hybrid Heaven ROM, as dumped from the cartridge. Plus 64-bit Windows with Direct3D 12 or Vulkan, or Linux with Vulkan, SDL2, and GTK 3; on Android, 9.0 or later on a 64-bit device with Vulkan.
Hybrid Heaven
ogdanimal/HybridHeaven-Decomp
A decompilation of Hybrid Heaven (US release) made to serve the same author’s recompilation port, also in this catalog. The build reproduces the retail ROM byte for byte, with the code split into 137 translation units and the 92 RAM-loaded overlays promoted to code segments, and it produces the ELF and symbols N64Recomp needs. Almost all of it is still assembly: its author explains that moving to C wasn’t needed for the port, and so far only 13 libultra translation units are in C, also matching. It includes tooling for the Konami archive format it shares with Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon. It ships no game data: you need your own ROM. All 2 of its commits list Claude as a co-author.
Hybrid Heaven (danielgomesvieira2000)
danielgomesvieira2000/hybrid-heaven-recomp
An unofficial native Windows and Linux port of Hybrid Heaven made by static recompilation with N64Recomp. The README warns that 0.2.0, “First battles” (September 19), is early and untested: only the start of the game has been played, up to the first battles. It offers widescreen at the window’s aspect ratio with the overscan border removed, HUD elements anchored to the screen edges (the radar so far), a launcher with graphics, sound, and controls settings, key remapping, and mod support, keyboard and controller support for 1 to 2 players, Controller Pak and Rumble Pak on the same controller, and an F1 debug menu with a live HUD editor; high frame rate is only planned. The launcher and tooling come from the same author’s Wave Race 64: Recompiled. The README says the project was built with Claude Code, directed and tested by its author, and all 27 commits in the repository list Claude as a co-author.
You needYour own copy of Hybrid Heaven (USA) (SHA-1 16dbc21620b52deab5c5abf8a309ac60adfbee85), as .z64, .n64, .v64, or a ZIP; no other version works. Windows or Linux.
Hybrid Heaven (hunkstalker)
hunkstalker/hybrid-heaven-recomp
A native PC port of Hybrid Heaven by static recompilation with N64Recomp, RT64, and N64ModernRuntime, for Windows, Linux, and the Steam Deck. The README, in Spanish, presents it as an early-stage project, with test builds that can break saved games. It has the F3DEX2 graphics microcode and the recompiled aspMain audio, high refresh rate by interpolating the game’s 30 Hz frames (the logic stays at 30), widescreen with the HUD and minimap anchored to the edges, keyboard and controller with remapping and rumble, its own save system with 45 slots in a single .pak, a PC menu with a language choice (EN, ES, CA, FR, DE, JA), graphics and sound settings and extras such as a save editor, go-to-area, and debug levels, and a native LZKN64 decompressor. Versus mode is not available yet. Version 0.7.3 (October 5) is the latest of 16 releases, with a Windows zip (about 20 MB) and a Linux tar.gz (about 12 MB).
You needYour own Hybrid Heaven USA ROM (NHVE, 16 MB, big-endian without byteswap, SHA-1 16dbc21620b52deab5c5abf8a309ac60adfbee85), placed in the rom folder next to the executable; any .z64 file works, as it is detected by format. Windows or Linux.
